Anyone ever do a TR224 to TSP231/237 swap...
Looking for anyone who has had the TR224(pref. 112lsa) and swapped in a TSP 231/237 cam with before/after dynos, without any other changes... not counting springs, ect.
I know the TSP should make more in the top end, but I would like to see how much is lost from the lower RPMS. I did an overlay of the 224 and the T-Rex camshaft. Both were pretty much the same setups AFIK, with the exception of one having a fordged bottom end, but that shouldnt make any difference. I would like to do the same comparison with the 231/237. The 'rex is a little too big and lost too much in the lower rpm range for my tastes.
Thanks,
Mike

Sorry no Dynos, only track times. I have run one pass quicker with the TSP cam, 12.35 to a 12.42 on a TR 224 cam. All other runs have been matched by the TR 224 cam, even the Nitrous runs. I think the tune is close enough, the AFR was same and timing was utilized. With stock heads, I dont see much happening. But, oddly enough on the street I can pull my friends (Drew778) SS and he has run a few tenths quicker than me.

A local customer swapped from the 224R to our 231/237 in his '98 SS A4 with stock cylinder heads and LS1 intake manifold, and he picked up 17 RWHP.
