GMPP LS Stage 2 CAM in LS6/Z06
Hey guys, I know there's better performing cams with larger lift numbers, but do you think the the GM LS Stage 2, 227/239 0.551/0.551 108LSA cam would run in a 2004 Z06 (ls6)?
Reason for considering the cam is the ability to retain the stock ls6 valve springs, and just add some ponies to the car. It does have Full length LG headers and offroad x-pipe.
With the same lift as the stock ls6 cam, but larger duration I am hoping for some positive results. The LSA is a little narrow, ... the car will be tuned, but would there be any drivibility issues you guys can forsee?
Thanks.

i wouldn't try to cut corners. would it work? yes, of course. but you said it yourself there are better cams out there. it's not that expensive to do a cam swap. i would think that you'd get bored with that cam pretty quick. i know i would.
however, it's your car so do what you want. research it and make sure it's what you want before you pull the trigger.

Should be a good cam for what your lookin for... it also matches up nicely with the stock ls6 heads. If you look at the flow numbers, they only gain 1 cfm from .550 to .600 lift.

Yes it should run good, but personally I'd put atleast some comp 918 springs in since I have seem stock cam and springs start letting valves float around 6,000 rpms after they get dome age on them. You can get a set off ebay for pretty cheap.
