iron block 408.. is there any way to visually identify internals?
I just got this m6 ws6 ta with an Iron 6.0 block that was confirmed to be a 408 by the dealer that owned it 2 years ago. There is no other history as of now. 69k miles on the car.
Im working to track down previous owners with questions but for now all I have is the pics of the rods and crank from under the car.
I see Lunati Rod Bolts but Im not sure all I should be looking for.
I would be very grateful for any help offered.

The reason I am trying to figure out what internals are in the motor is so I can plan power adders accordingly. I would like to turbo the car, but if the internals are only good to 600whp then it would be like 4psi max or something so low it would be borderline "waste of money."
I would also really like to figure out the compression ratio for the same reason.... boost.
It has 243 aluminum heads on it. Any ideas?
Thanks for all of the input!

who knows on the comp ratio, your going to have to pull the heads off measure the gasket, CC the chambers, get a P/N on the pistons or CC the pistons, which requires removing them, and...assume the deck height.
the stock crank is good to around 700 crank HP, so im assuming if its a stroker crank, its good to atleast 800+ hp. you will have to find the exact P/N on the rods to get an accurate HP rating on them.

Are you near an NHRA drag strip? You might find someone who can "pump" the motor for you. You should be able to determine size and possibly compression ratio. But honestly, it would be best to just pull the heads so you can look it over and inspect it. Especially if you are going to toss some boost it's way.

I'm in WNC now, but im from Charlotte NC and its 2.5 hours away. I was planning to get tuned there.
Guess it would be silly to boost it without pulling the heads and having a look first.
Thanks for all of the help!
