Default lm7 heads on a lq4

I have a older all steel lq4(with a rod knock). Long story short im going to go thru it and want some advice on good dependable mods to do and get good horsepower. The motor will be going in a ultra 4 class race buggy. I was told that you can put 5.3 head on my lq4 the lm7 heads that i have are 862 casting. All help is welcome and thank you

What pistons/cam/rods and crank should I use. I would like to try and use most factory and easily available parts for the simple fact of trying to find replacement parts when im out at competitions

I'm putting LM7 heads, casting number 706, on my LQ4. But in my case, it's because I live at 4500' elevation, and will benefit from the extra compression this will give me.
They're a direct bolt-on, just use new 6.0L head gaskets and new head bolts.

LS2 pistons, L92 heads, appropriate cam, will make the most power without breaking the bank
