Default How bent does a pushrod need to be to make noise

I had a small nitrous backfire and the car went lean on a 1/4 pass.

Ended up having 120 compression on #1 and #3 was 180. (driver side)

So I pulled off the valve covers and rockers for #1. Car already has TSP 7.4 chromoly pushrods in it. Single coil springs with blue stripe down them.

THe wear pattern is even on both intake and exhaust rocker for #1 (Hole with low compression). Pushrods have not been hitting the holes inthe head either.

I know the head has to come off, but I'm wondering what this may be. I haven't tried putting oil in the problem cylinder then doing another compression test.

Valves see to be correct height compared to others with the rockers off.

What do you guys think?

Piston Ring
Piston Skirt
Valve

Noise is "Tick - Tick - Tick - TIck "

Oil Pressure is same as usual. Car doesn't smoke. Drove it hour back from the track and the noise stayed the same.

Pull both rockers and put some air into the cylinder, see if it blows right into the exhaust.

Sounds like you might have a bad lifter.

I'm going to track down my leak-down tester this morning. Both rockers are removed so both valves should be closed.

I already know the compression is low, just got to figure out the cause now. I"ll listen for air out the exhaust or intake.

Hoping its just a bent valve.

How about - The Oil and Coolant both look fine. Oil is not milky, coolant is still orange with no oil in it.
