Default Stock LQ4 long block cam swap

I've looked at cams such as the 228r and the Torquer v2 which I've seen mentioned numerous times in the 6.0 engines on this site. I calculated the DCR's for these cams and I get anywhere from 7.2 to 7.6.

I know the LQ4, and LQ9 to some extent, have low SCR compared to the LS1/2/3's. Why is it people are running large cams in stock bottom end 6.0s with 317 heads with good results? Shouldn't the very weak DCR's be killing the benefit of the upgraded cams?

What am I missing that makes these cams viable in a 6.0?

Thanks,
Kerry
