383 stroker cam sizes?
i was looking at comps 231/239 113 lsa cam, but starting to think a bigger cam like the Texas Speed 244/248 .612"/.615" Camshaft, any one got something similar in a 383 and whats it like to drive on the street and what size stall do you run in a 4l60e?
vehicle's not a daily just a weekend car, after a cam with good torque and power out of the build, been looking and these two are options i'm looking at or if anyone has any other suggestions to look at as well.
Thanks in advance.

Goals just a tuff street car that can be cruised on a freeway and pull like a freight train so to speak on the street when you hit the gas.
will see the track maybe once or twice a year like LS1 nationals here and weekend use only, if it sees the driving during the week it will be when running the engine in and if have to drive it for some reason as i have a daily i drive atm.
So will be a 383 ls1 N/A, don't want to set a rwhp figure as iv seen mates do this with other cars and been bitterly disappointed with the results when they haven't met them and i don't mean by 1-10 rwhp i mean like 20/30+ rwhp they've missed by.
how ever i will be happy with anything over 440 rwhp.
comp ratio- unsure atm, talking with Matt at texas speed to see what he comes up with, was looking at a 9.5-10:1 but that was cause u was 50/50 on FI, now that matt knows i'm going N/A i'm sure that will be bumped up to a 10.5:1+ we run a 98 octane as our premium fuel here and is recommended from factory so don't know if that means i can bump it up higher and be ok, see what Matt comes up with, i told him we have a 98 octane that i use, just waiting on an email back as with the time differences makes it hard to call.
Will be doing everything properly once so will not be cutting corners, also our road laws have just really tightened up, any sort of FI and nitrous that isn't factory standard will deem the car unroadworthy along with wheels that are not the factory originals, etc, its to stop all the hoons out there from modding cars, so won't see the street a lot, especially not during the week, i work at a place that does roadworthies and we have to go for new license due to the new very stringent laws, apparently there going as far as interiors being non factory will be unroadworthy, its pritty bad.
They haven't started inforcing them yet but its on the way.

Just get a custom grind for your exact setup, it's well worth the 25 bucks.
