Default 2000 ls1 problems?

i have a 2000 camaro ls1/t56 that i am doing a swap into a 69 el camino and wanted to know what i should upgrade before i put the motor in. i have been doing some searching and found stuff like arp rod bolts for sure. and i have read that i should upgrade the push rods but i am not sure what length and size to use. this is my first time doing anything with a ls motor. sorry if i am asking any dumb questions. and thanks for the feedback.

Seems like people have a little better luck with the katech rod bolts. I would definitely start there. Pushrods aren't really necessary until you throw a cam in there. Since the motor will be out of the car you might want to consider getting a cam/oil pump etc. Even a stock ls6 cam heads and intake will make a good difference and not change your driveability.

I have a 2000 camaro with 110K on it. It uses oil about 2 quarts per 2500-3000, mostly because of the pcv. I am in the process of upgrading to ls6 valve springs and moly pushrods. The stock valve springs are weak and mine are worn, floats above 5400rpm. Other than those two things it runs good.
