Default 2002 Ls1 motor in car cost of swapping rods?

Just curious as to what the average cost is to swap out your rods in a 2002 ls1 that has the motor in the car? I would like to replace my rods and bolts but not stroke the motor can im trying to get a baseline price on labor. Thanks

Trying to do that in the car is going to be pretty hard to do. Really all you need is to replace the bolts if you aren't going to rev it any higher. Replacing the rods and bolts with the stock pistons is kind of pointless. If you do replace them and they weight differently you would have to have the crank pulled and balanced as well.

You're trying to take a **** without dropping your pants.

Maybe it can be done, but the results won't be pleasing.
