Ah what fun you guys must have. I remember looking at a painted frame of a Z06 a couple weeks ago, and in that short time I can't believe how much you guys have done!
Btw, who will be piloting that machine this season?

Hi Guys,
I know this is a little off for this section, but this is where I usually post so I thought it would be of interest.
The engine is a 346 built to the SCCA rules. We had to use GM performance parts (Lingenfeldter) heads, with only bowl work and valve job,
we picked up about 12 cfm with that.
The cam rules are the GM Grand Am/World challenge spec cam 239/251 .570 lift. We have a 7600 rev limit set. Oh yeah, we have to use stock size valves also, but any brand, and NO titanium valves.
We are using a 3 stage dry sump but we are still using the stock oil pump for pressure.
We have valve spring oilers in the billet valve covers.
I will post up some photos of the engine after the first race.
We used a Callies forged crank and Dyer rods, with a minimum weight per rules. The compression is 12:1 and we have to use a stock intake and TB. We are using an F body throttle body to eliminate the fly by wire on the Corvette.
We have to use Sunoco GT+ race fuel and any engine management. We are using LS1 edit on a stock 98 F body pcm. We use the 98 pcm to eliminate all of the bells and whistles of the Corvette C5.
The car has to weigh 3000# per the rules also. It has 335 x 18" tires rear and 275x 18 front.
This is the same red frame that you saw 41 days ago . It is now complete and headed to Sebring, Fl. to race this week with our 3 car team.
You can get live timing and scoring at www.sccapro.com
Practice and qualifying starts Wed and the race is Friday afternoon.
The race will be on Speed TV Sunday at 11 or 12 noon.
See you at the races.
Thanks
