Default Polluter camshaft any good?

I want any and all opinions on this cam guys.It really appeals to me.If anyone has experience or know how of this cam, pleas.e tell all.I got an 02 Ws6/M6 with pacesetter Lt coated,TSP True duals,no cats,bullets,ls6 intake,Slp lid,Kn filter,Viper spec T56 tranny.I am doing cam only for now.My heads are 241 castings and stock block.I drive the car about 100 miles a week max,3 days a week average.I want decent drivability but nothing that's gonna give me a headache everytime I drive her either.Of course I want the tough lopey sound but also need decent power under the curve and good topend power. Please help in my decision.I plan on buying in 2 weeks.Installing and tuning in the next month. Thanks

IMO if you are not going to gear it I would go with something a bit smaller...

big cams need gears, honest if your looking for more lower end power which a street car needs imo i would go with a smaller custom grind, can still get a big cam sound and have better power lower in the rpm range

Thats a really good street-able cam for the street with good midrange power. Search it, there is more than plenty of information on the 228 cam.

I would subtract about 8-10* of duration from the current cam you are looking at now, and that's about were you will want to be profile size.

Comp cams xer273 (224/230 .58x 114) is a great street performer that doesn't give up Anything down low when compared to stock cam, there is a few magazines that tested stock cam against aftermarket and the 224/230 was the biggest cam without having to compromise bottom end torque for high rpm horsepower....

Too big if you dont have at least 3:73 gear or more. 228R would be a nice choice but I would go with something in the 230ish..

I'm in the same boat as OP. My car isn't driven much, but still looking for decent cam specs to run. So this is pretty much a "I'm in it for info as well" bump lol I've been looking in the .233 and .593 range at maybe a 111 or 112.

torquer 2 is better, because it gains just a hair more down low than the torquer 3....either one is a great choice as wel

Hey JPH I was waiting for someone to say that! Lol...I do love the cam...I originally was going to set a 222/226 eps cam but when I found that 224/230 cam for $150 I had to jump on it...it has done nothing but impress me I can't believe more people don't run this cam...super minimal pushing thru brakes, rips like hell up to rev limit, and feels absolutely no different than stock at low cruising rpms (even with the tight *** stock converter)...my vote will always be 224/230!!! Lol

Haha cool. yeah I have speced the 224/232 113 stuff out for awhile now and I would have to say that it's one of the BEST all around profiles to use in the LS engine family.
