What Cam to use!!!
Well im having to rebuilt the bottom end on my ls1. I spun a bearing and now i have no car for a while. My friend is helping out with the rebuilt and he suggested for me to go ahead and do a cam in it. Im debating between the tsp torquer v2, tsp 228r, or hell the tsp 233/239. My car is a DD and i have ls6 intake, lid, pacesetter headers, pacesetter ory, borla catback, e-cutout, A-4. What would you guys recommend? i want to be able to get to the 400hp

Hell yeah lol... i think that its reasonable. ive seen some threads where they get closed to it or make more than that. Hopefully when i do the pulley and ram air that it would help me get to the 400rwhp

If you can do that 400rwhp with stock 241 heads and a cam, I would surly be listening. I think the people who say they have is over estimating a little

isnt the tqv2 a little more friendly on a DD? i really have no idea thats why im asking lol. and on the stall i was thinking on a revmax 4000. i have a friend running a 3600 yank and now he wishes that he would have gone bigger.

The V3 will be no different concerning "more friendly driving" than the V2. It's all in the tune. A MS3 can be a good daily driver for the right person if tuned properly. I've just read that the V3 is better under the curve and carries out farther than the V2. Yes, the lift is quite high, so if you're not comfortable changing out springs, then I'd say go for the V2. I'm sure you'll be happy with either one. It's a good middle ground in terms of the 228 and 233/239 cam.

A 228/232 streetsweeper HT is another good option. I think 228r is a no brainer solution for a DD. If you want to run the 233/239, you will need gear since it likes to rev high. Voodoo lunati has some interesting grinds too.
Torquer 3 is better all around than torquer 2(TSP said numerous times).
There is plenty of other cam to look for! Take your time..Custom cam is a very good idea. Keep on reading.

IMO, go with a cam with the duration in the upper 220s to lower 230s range. I'd would also only go with high lift/aggressive lobes like the Comp Cams LSKs if your engine can benefit from them.
BTW, the tqv2 is just more valve train friendly, since the v3 has high lift/aggressive (LSK) intake lobes.

This is interesting...Can a simple cam swap really make a 300-350 crank horsepower engine into a 400 WHEEL HP engine? Doesnt make sense to me.
