Anyone running a TSP 383 or SpeedInc 403 setup in their car?
Been engine shopping (cause I'm pretty sure I "killed" mine before shipping the car from Germany back to the USA). Weight is an issue, as the car is a street/auto-X car, so been looking at aluminum block engine combos. Budget is also a concern (like to keep the grand total under 10K while doing the install myself).
That said, anyone running a TSP 383 combo? Experiences, opinions, power output info appreciated. In short, I hoping to reliably make 500-550RWHP in a daily-driver friendly combo for under 10K that weighs the same as my current LS1.
Also been looking at the SpeedInc 403ci LS2 block with L92 heads/intake.
Thanks for any info or $0.02 on the subject.

http://sdparts.com/details/gm-perfor...parts/19244611 might run a lil over your budget but imo nothing would be cooler than having a 454 lsx under the hood, if you have plans to stay na this would be what i would go with, plus you can do a few cool 454 badges lol

I have a TSP 383 shortblock in my car. It's been in there for 4 years now, runs great. Not sure what I am making power wise, but it runs hard and strong. You will be very hard pressed to make 550 at the tires with a 383 though.
