Piston troubles, PTV...what to do?
So I have a stock bottom end LQ9 that I was going to use LS3 heads on. I had a cam ground for it and had to have the stock pistons fly cut.
I was told I needed .080" on the Intake and .100" on the Exhaust. I measured everything and the had .010" clearance on the Intake and .065" on the exhaust.
Shop said They'd cut .075" on the intake and .050" on the exhaust.
Trouble is, I picked them up and installed one to measure and figured out, they cut the the WRONG way. they cut .100" on the exhaust and .050" on the intake.
So now, I have .060" on intake ( non enough still) and .160" on the exhaust ( too much)
Do you think I'd b safe getting them to cut the intake deeper or just scrap them and start over?
I'm getting very frustrated with this build.
