Flat top pistons with l92 heads
Do the pistons need to be fly cut? I know the cam has to be the deciding factor but I'm looking at around a 228/230+ or bigger duration and 600 or bigger lift.

You still have a lot of room on the exhaust side on LS3/L92 heads, so LSA isn't as much of a factor as the intake centerline and intake duration is!

Bumping this back up. Geoff at eps got me hooked up with a 224 236 113 plus 2 cam. Problem is, I got the itch for a turbo so I ended uo calling up huron speed and getting a 78mm turbo. Hopefully it won't pop!

fyi i am running a lq4 (with ls2 pistons and rods) .011 out of the hole with unmilled ls3 heads and factory ls3 head gaskets (i believe its .051 crushed?)
my cam is,
INTAKE 234@50 / LIFT .628/center line 108
EXHAUST 250@50 / LIFT .621/center line 116
lobe seperation 112+4
and i fly cut .080 on both the intake and exhaust but i could have gotten away with less... maybe could have went .065 exhaust and .050 on the intake...
