They look very similiar to the hardened pushrods I have in both of my cars. They are definitly not stock.

Just for reference, there are VERY few companies that actually make PRs. I want to say alot of the main companies buy their pushrods from one place, they just order them with their name on em.

Why do they need to hardened? Are you running aftermarket rockers with guide plates? If you are running stock rockers they don't have to be hardened.

i completely disagree with this one, people bend stock pushrods all the time on 100% stock motors, especially on 6-speeds with the 3-2 death shift.

There are 5/16" pushrods that are hardened and non-hardened. Hardened are required for guide plates. This has nothing to do with stock pushrods.

The tips should be hardened, at least.

Hardened pushrods were popular in the gen 1 and BB Chevy engines because of guide plates. The material used dictates the strength, not the surface hardness. If you want to know if what you have is hardened hit it with a file. You will not be able to file hardened pushrods, they can be used with guide plates.
