Port and shim oil pump or leave it alone?
I'm doing a cam swap for a friend of mine and while I've got it apart I've been thinking about pulling the oil pump, porting and shimming it, replacing the o ring and putting it back. He doesn't want to replace it because hes on a tight budget and it did work fine 60lb cold, 40lbs hot, 2000 LS1. I've watched on youtube guys cleaning up the inlet and putting nuts or washers under the spring. What do you guys think, do it or leave it alone?
