Default What cam??

Hey guys I have a 02 TA and I live in Cali. I want to put a cam in it but I don't really know much about them. I don't want an extreme cam or anything like that since I do drive the car a lot. I just want a cam that will give me good hp and tq. The only mods I have so far is a intake headers y pipe and a cat back. Thanks

Seeing how cali emissions are tough, i would go with a 224/224. Im sure anything bigger than that wont pass. Best bet is to ask the cali members.

I would call the some of the sponsors that supply cams and ask them what cams they carry are known to pass Cali smog and have them narrow down a couple cam choices for you.

You'll need a traditional split cam, and at least -4* overlap, but I'd go with a cam that has a stated -6* overlap to allow for variations from the advertised specs.
Also what transmission do you have, M6 or A4?

Just to clarify, you want/need the engine to still pass the tail pipe emissions test, correct?
