They're ragging on you for not providing other details like current mods and what your overall goals are along with what other mods you plan on coupling with the FI.

First pick a ideal horsepower goal, then you can easily pick which FI route you want to go.

For example, if you want 600rwhp...make sure you get a turbo, supercharger that can handle atleast 100-200hp over your goal for breathing room imo.

good idea, hey OP you should start a ''signature" and post up what your car has done to it.. that really helps out in the future when asking questions..

Not knowing what you want, this is a good supercharger kit with everything you'd need to get it going and make 700rwhp with a D1. Other options exist for more power:

If all you want is 100hp then you should look into a good head/cam package with supporting mods..

it will be a lot cheaper than adding a supercharger and it will be easier on your car..

your in luck because there is a bunch of Head/Cam build threads going on right now and some people have some killer threads with lots of pictures and information..

check out "jakefusion" ^^ for instance, he has a good thread you should look through..

I agree with that to a point. IMO it would be easier to slap a Procharger on and go especially with the power increase he wants, at the moment anyway.

He might be able to install a ProCharger himself, he might no be able to invest the time/research/knowledge on how to do a H/C/I/E swap.

Just depends on how much money he is willing to throw at it. Just my .02

Yeah but he needs to start off somewhere, a cam kit, full bolt ons etc...

Bone stock to FI is a bit much, tuning, fuel upgrades, rear end? Sure he can detune it to 450-500 hp but I think it's too soon in my opinion..

8 psi of boost from an ATI ProCharger will typically give you an extra 140 rwhp with these engines. Let me know if you have any questions. Bob
