Oil pressure jumps when letting off throttle
Anyone have any idea what could be causing my oil pressure once the car is warmed up to jump when letting off the gas? It rises with Rpms but when I left off it jumps a little higher then goes down normally.
Hot idle is usually around 20psi and once I hit the gas it usually goes to 40psi cruising and a little higher when I get on it, then I let off and it goes a few psi higher.
Thanks

I honestly don't know but my 99 idled at 50psi lowest was 45psi on a hot day idling with AC on. It would peg the gauge at 6k. That was with a ported LS6 pump though. Stock I don't think I ever saw less than 35 at hot idle running 5w30. Any possibility your oil pickup o-ring isn't seated right?
