Default what do you recommend on my build

So I'm building a new motor for my car. I pick up an ls1 short block for a good deal. Scat forged crank, forged main caps, scat forged connecting rods, wiseco flycut pistons -5.7cc . What does everyone recommend for the rest of the build. Wanting to stay NA. I have a set of 243 heads and stock ls1 heads of they will be good with this setup

I'd point you to Tony Mamo. He can port your 243s or set you up with some of his new castings and a mild cam. But he does the whole combo and it works and will drive like stock.

Not to speak for him, but he'd probably set you up with a 227/231 114 camshaft or similar, worked heads (243s or his 220s), worked FAST intake, ARH/Kooks/LG headers, Johnson lifters, Manton pushrods, and YT Roller Rockers. He also will optimize quench and other areas of the build for throttle response and power.

Shoot him a personal message. His forum name is Tony Mamo and you can't go wrong with his work.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Build it right the first time....its alot cheaper than building it twice!!
