Pre 2001 castech heads
long story short is the motor I pulled down today to use in my new turbo build has 706 Castechs on it, now the motor was AMAZINGLY clean, everything looks awesome inside, bearings look brand new, no sludge, no gunk, and no evidence what so ever of having coolant in the oil. The motor had 98,000 on it, and it came out of a 99 silverado.
I read that the TSB is only for 2001 and later trucks, would you guys trust these heads seeing as they are earlier then what the TSB calls for? The motor is getting a forged bottom end and an billet 80mm and I plan on 750ish to the tire. I would like to run these heads if possible due to the tight budget, but I really don't have the time to be pulling heads if these are going to crack.
Any suggestions?

I would ditch to 706 heads anyway. They are the worst performing heads on the LS platform. If you've got no evidence of coolant, you're probably ok. Swap the heads now while they're off only costs the heads. Swap later costs the heads, bolts, gaskets at a minimum.
