what is best 5.3 cam swap
little history first
2003 5.3 862 heads
carbureted with duel plane intake
going in 1980 Camaro with headers
my question is what is the best cam for my situation right now keeping motor mainly stock for now just want a little performance and a good sound like the old thumper cams did for the 350s..looking for a cam that I just have to switch cam and lifters for now nothing else like pushrods or valve springs...thank you

I got a new Bullet custom specd carb cam for for sale. Don't know how it would do with a dual plane intake. But you would deff need valve springs at least

All 5.3 owners should look at this article!! Very helpful. The LS3 cam did well for a GM camshaft. And the crane 210 was past awesome on the dyno.
