after looking over your mods Id stay stick with a smaller cam...even the tsp 225 i think would do a good job and give you a good amount of lope. With your size converter I just dont think it would be a great match tq wise and you'd probably be better off going a little smaller with faster rate ramps on the lobes. That cam would probably make as much if not more tq especially down low then the 231/237 JMHO.

Thanks for the advice. But for some reason after I heard my buddies car Ive been hooked on the TSP 231/237.. I know that you can get smaller cams to idle like this one... But Ive also reads the #s on the cam... & I had to have the biggest one I could buy without buying new pistons & etc.

My car drives pretty good on the stock tune with that cam. I had to drill two holes in the throttle plate and play with the idle screw a bit but now it's okay. It doesn't like hot start-ups but other than that driveability is fine for me. I'm sure it's running rich and down on power without the tuning but for now it works. Good luck.

I am running this cam and on a stock tune it would suck. A good tune is definitely helpful with idle and surging. Jason did my tuning and of course did a great job. I put down 377RW on the last dyno. You can get away with 3.73's and a 3500 but if you spend a lot of time at the track, you should think about going with a larger stall. Shift extensions will be higher and you will take better advantage of the power your making.

A mail order tune is $250. Jason's done plenty of 231/237 cams, so he should have no problem getting you fixed up.
