Default AI HC 219cc Heads & Custom Lunati Cam on order

Finally pulled the trigger on a new heads/cam setup. Almost sold the C5 last fall but decided to keep her. Went with AI High Compression 219cc heads along with a Complete Street Performance spec'd Lunati 223/236 .615/.626 114+2. Was going to go with a monster cam but after speaking to Andrew this one made much more sense for what I was looking for.

Should be a very stout and streetable setup. I like those cam specs.

Plus you will be having it tuned by one of if not the best tuner around. I think that cam is a good choice.

Great choice on the heads and I've never heard a bad thing about CSP. Curious to what numbers you put down with that cam.

Just curious, why the huge exhaust split (13*) with ported cathedral
heads? 200+ N2O?

12 degrees split on GM cathedral ported castings makes the most power. So it's within reason.

It's just nice to see a reasonable size cam build with a good set of heads...many tend to want the big thumpy thump cam with stock heads and then the car goes up for sale. lol

This is a older version of the cam that Andrew had in his LS3 Vette, he ran some pretty decent times with it with minimal mods. The new version I'm getting has a bit more lift and should put out an additional 10-15 hp.

Nice I like it! 1.5 degrees of overlap still has a nice chop with the lower idle.

Not shooting for any specific compression I went w/ the HC heads because you should see an extra 20 hp over the base port. Only downside is if i decide to go FI ill have to swap them out but that wont be for awhile...maybe lol
