oil on spark plugs
Been battling this issue to no avail, I am constantly getting oil on my spark plugs threads and on number 2 cylinder will foul out the plug to where it wont even fire. I am running a prc 260 ls3 head and I have rtv the rocker bolt holes. I have no idea where the oil is coming from. Didn't have this issue until these heads ? Any advise. The motor does use oil but does not leak, going to do a leak down test this weekend. After an hour driving all the plugs are burning good except one and all have oil on the threads.

Valve seals/guides....

Make sure the valve seals were correctly installed. Even new they will fail if not done correctly.

Probably not if the valves seal well.

Well without scoping the cylinders I can suggest a few things. 1st would be carbon pasted rings, second broken rings or ring lands. Like I said above noway valves seals would cause a oil fouled plug. When number 7 in one of my LS1 cars was fouled the piston was broken. I'd rent or buy a cheap camera scope and take a peek.

I was running into the same issues with my build. New build with PRC 265cc heads and kept oiling down the back cylinders and burning oil out the tail pipes once you reached operating temp. Been told to put sealant on rocker bolts that wasn't it. Guides, seals, rings all culprits but after checking compression and leak down tests it turns out I was just getting way too much oil into the intake so my question to you is how is your PCV system setup

Bunch of things can crack um but the most likely culprit is not enough ring end gap. Ring expands and has to go someplace, ends up cracking the piston. I'd probably check the injector and inspect the intake seal in that area. Cylinder may have been running on the lean side. Also check the rod bearing for signs of detonation.Good Luck
