There is a lot of information here and I'm new to the LS family. I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of cams but I am building a 6.2 out of an LQ4 with L92 bottom end and (as of now) ls2 top end. Its a daily driver stock drivetrain Trailblazer SS, I'm looking for a bit of power adage but also dont want to fight it at low RPMs. What kind of things should I look for? Again, I'm new and learning so bear with me haha thanks in advance!

So basically you running the trailblazer SS intake with stock 243 cathedral heads on a 376ci ?

Plenty of questions come to mind as I'm about to go into work. Maybe another good member pick up where I left off.....

Do you plan on running a stall?

Do you always plan on keeping it naturally aspirated?

is you running aftermarket headers? If not you'll need more exhaust duration than normal to help get the air out the motor.

Eventually it will get boosted, leaning more towards supercharged at the moment. I have thought about running a stall it all comes down to what set up might compliment my driving intentions more but also handle a little more mods later on. and when I drop the new motor in I will be running 1 7/8" long tubes. I know the more I rummage through this forum questions will be answered and more ideas will come up but I thought the easiest way to get the ball rolling for me would be to put out some feelers so any opinions/knowledge/experience shared is greatly appreciated

I'd look for IVC in the 40-43 degree range, EVO in the 50-55 range and "negative" overlap to avoid fighting it as well as being easy to boost later.

So, let's say IVC 42, IVO -2, EVC 0, EVO 54

220/232-114+3. Something close to that would likely give you a good blend of your goals

awesome, that helps a lot. Mostly when I ask a question like that people start giving me brands and that really doesn't help answer the question lol. Thank you!

You're very welcome. I'm sure if you call up a vendor the numbers may vary slightly, but at least you'll know about where they came from and how they got there.
