Engine Performance before and after dyno tuning
I just put a cam and LT headers on my car, but I have not had a chance to get the ECM tuned. I'd like to know what kind of gains to expect after having the ECM tuned on a dyno. Is it usually a small amount like 10-15 HP or is it more?
Right now my car does not feel much faster than stock, and the power band seems to have shifted up from the low end to mid and high range. The low end seems to be lacking, but I am still running the stock 3.42 gears. I figure 4.11s would take care of that.

depending on which cam you have your gonna loose some low end...some more then others...gears will help make it feel like you gained some of that back...as far as tuning goes you might gain1hp you might gain 100 it all depends on how out of wack your cam is working with your current tune.

I have no tune now, just the stock program. My cam is the TR 224 with 110 LSA. I do not remember the exact specs, but it is pretty lopey. It smells like my engine is running really rich.
