Loose rockers?
Should the rockers be slightly loose when the cam isn't pushing the pushrod on that particular valve? I'm getting some noise and just want to make sure that everything's ok on my setup.
I've got the Thunder 224/224 kit with the comp springs and Thunder pushrods.
Thanks,
Matt

Pretty sure there should be no slack (some pre-load), I'd imagine that's why you have noise. Do you have shorter pushrods than normal, or did you shim your rocker arms?

I'm not an engine building expert but everything I've read says that when valves are closed, you should be able to spin the pushrod with your fingers. It would stand to reason that if you can spin the pushrod, there's no preload so the rockers will be able to slide side to side a little too. Mine do it and I'm not worried about it.
