I have these heads. I am putting the motor into a 1993 mazda rx7. The car has a tall gear.... 3.90 and im running a 6speed tranny. Car weighs about 2600lbs - 2700lbs with the ls1 in it.

Im looking just to drive the car on the street and once or twice at the track.

Any one know a good cam for this. I want it pretty aggressive, but streetable.

You might try Bret @ Bauer Racing, a sponsor. He's SStrokerAce here.

As far as sponsors go, Steve @ Race Engine Development and Erik @ Horsepower Engineering will be able to match a cam for your combination.

I like most of the 224 cams for street cars other are running bigger but not as streetable IMO. Everyone has a different out look on streetable so remember that when people recomend other rather large cams I like FMS grind and I like the tried and true C2 tha MTI offers 224/581224/581 112+4. Should make real good power and will be very driveable. If you want more think about 228 range with @580-590 lift. Look around and see what the sponsers have to offer the MTI X1 cam is real popular right now so you could find one of those used for a great price. FMS gives a very detailed description of how there cams power ranges should respond in your car so does Thunder racing others you just might have to call to see what they recomend etc... Good luck! If you do a search you will find quite a lot on cams and opinions so use the search feature etc...

steves the man. those numbers really dont mean anything as they werent flowed with an intake. you'd be amazed how much cfm is lost through the ls6/ls1 intake. i've seen it first hand courtesy of steve .
