Default What order to go in?

Alright, say you have all the bolt-ons, and you want to go with a stroker shortblock and a H/C package. If you buy a H/C package for the stock 346, and then get a stroker shortblock, then the H/C package won't use the potential of the stroker. Is there a way you can get the H/C package first without wasting money?

I would getthe stroker short block first and think long and hard about the H/C package that fits your strokers needs and goals.

Would you gain any power going from a 346 to a 383 or 396 stroker?

yes, you would. lots. it'd be a better idea to get the h/c package first, then get the stroker kit. you don't want to be running the stock cam/heads on a 383. it just doesn't work out well. you can always run a good set of a heads with a decent sized cam in your stock block, and when you get the stroker, re-use the heads and get a bigger cam. just some thoughts.
