Default Need cam help on 6.0L with Ls1 heads

I am building 6.0l to replace my ls-1 that lost oil pressure. Anyway...I need some advice on the cam. I currently have a ls-1 intake( will be upgrading to Ls-6 soon, Stock 02 manifolds, 99 ls-1 heads, The problem is they don't make headers that fit my 68 camaro that are worth a sh$t, so I don't want to go bigger than my stock exhaust will flow. I am thinking about either the ls-6 or the hot cam. I have read a lot about these cams and all the plus and minus about them. I guess if I had to pick one it would be the hot cam, but neither one is really what I want. Any other recommendations?? tr224/ 114 maybe???

as long as you are limited by your the stock exhaust manifolds I would stick with a cam favoring exhasut durration. The hot cam may be a good choice since it doesn't cost much and you can change when headers become available down the line, without being out a bunch of money.

Default tr224

Anyone have any experiance running the tr 224 cam with stock manifolds? Will I see much more improvement over the hot cam, or just loose drivability??

maybe shorty's instead of the stock manifolds ?? that might increase your cam range .. I have shorty's and was told that a TR224 would be the best street cam for my car unless I went with longtubes
