ASP pulley wont fit on new ARE 393. How much to mill off?
Got the K-member and the pulley put in. Put the pulley on, and realized that the motor would not turn over. Took it off & it turns over. WTF?? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
It seems I remember someone talking about this before, and something had to be milled. I'll call ARE tomorrow, just wanted to see if anyone knew.
It has a double roller timing chain, so the pump is shimmed. Apparently that threw something off.

Hey Harold, unfortunately not all ASP pulley's have this problem, but the one's that do have to be machined, the outer diameter of the hub rubs the inside of the oil pump, good that you noticed this now, I should have the measurement written down at the shop. Give me a call tomorrow at the shop.

Harold,
Like Wade said only some have the problem. I guess your an unlucky one. This is another of those reasons why I am still running the factory unit. Lemme know when you go to Stanton
