Default Extra exhaust duration with true duals...would I still benefit?

Just something I have been thinking about because I was considering the FM13 230/232. I know that the added duration is supposed to help the exhaust but I would like to think I can get the exhaust out in a standard split with my setup. I think I could keep the velocity up. Don't want to waste extra duration in the power stroke and on overlap if I don't have to. Thanks

2* isn't really going to make a noticeable difference either way. With headers and a 3" dual exhaust system w/o cats, and good flowing mufflers, I'd shoot for less exhaust duration. I assume you're using factory heads, correct?

Yes, factory heads. I actually was thinking then I would be better to go with like a 230/230 to get the same results and by that token any single pattern would do better (like a torquer cam 233/233)

The 'torquer' is a proven design with factory heads.
