Which package LG or MTI
MTI told me they could give me their stage 2-E heads with their G-1 for $1,990, or I could go with LG and they could give me their G5-X3 cam with AFR 205 for $3,185. Which package should I purchase? They also told me to run a vig 3200. The car I have is a 93 rx7 with a 4.10 gear. Which package should I purchase for the most power and best drivability. I don't have to drive this car everyday, but I do want a cam with some chop.
Thanks,
Chase

actually, if I was you... id say screw the heads... run stock heads, the X3 package with Comp 921s, and add a 100 shot on it! Far as the stall, I have the best luck with the Yank SS series... particularly the SS 3600 and SS 3800... I just dont think heads are worth it when the cams are making the gains they are over stock!

I believe that LG recommends and sells the 59cc milledn AFR's w/the G3 cam.You will need to flycut among other things. I do not know about the MTI heads. You cannot go wrong either way for an awesome set-up.

I don't think you can go wrong with either company. But I do think your comparing apples to oranges.
IMO, the MTI Stage 2E heads are the best bang for the buck head out there.
My car picked up ~10mph and ~8 tenth's in the quarter with a those heads and a X1 cam.
MTI's customer service, from start to finish, was 2nd to none.

I agree with the other guys post, once MTI had my money they would not give me the time of day. Customer service was a joke..... Just my experience with them....
I don't feel like typing this again....

Just my .02. I have the MTI S2 heads and recently installed their new G1. It idles quite well with a noticable rumpity rump.LOL.
I ran an 1/8 mile event yesterday and my wife ran a 6.99 @ 96.7mph with a 1.49 60 ft.
This is her daily driver so we had to be conservative on cam selection. We did not have time to tune the car in other than getting a few Atap scans for piece of mind.
We had to launch conservative due to track conditions and we had a break out of 7.00 which is what bumped us in the semi finals. We haven't even seen good air yet.
If you have customer service issues at MTI take it up with David or Jayson. They will do you right if they are aware of the issue.
It's your call on package selection, but I'd go with proven results. I'm not much of a gambler myself.
Good luck!

I would go with the LG, if it has the AFR heads, and for christ-sake put a damn 6 speed in the third gen! I used to have one with a t-78 greddy on it and man i wouldnt have wanted an auto in it. That is a drivers car, and you have to have a stick in it! Well im sure you will be happy with whatever choice you make, and keep us posted on how things go.
