Now here's a guy that likes to take extra precautions with celophane over the throttlebody and wrags between the pan and block. I use the wrags, but never seen the saran wrap over the throttlebody. I guess you can never be too careful. Are you going to upgrade the rockers? Did you have any trouble getting the oil pump pickup tube into the oil pump input port after you installed the double chain? A lot of people have difficulty with this step. That where those wrags you put down there sometimes come in handy.

lets just say that i dropped the pickup tube bolt into the oil pan, and had to drop the k member and oil pan to get it out. i took that picture after that fiasco so i was taking no chances. it was not fun.

from what i've read, changing the rockers out causes more problems than it fixes, so mine will remain stock for now.

the first time i put the dual chain in i didnt hit it back far enough, so the chain rubbed against the pump, so i took it off and cleaned things up, then made sure to press it back all the way, and now it fits fine. the timing chain kit also comes with oil pump spacers, which really help out.

Nice pics. Very informative for those who haven't done the swap.

Edit: And yeah, stock rockers are great.

I also covered my TB. Never know what is flying around. I put some of that new glad wrap over my TB along with masking tape. I'm ****. I've got some good shots of the pickup tube and rollmaster install on my site. Good Job with the documentation.
