What can I do one of the head bolts are completely stripped, can not figure out why. I think the cause is the silcone they put on the new bolts and very poor 98 block casting I cleaned all the water and debris out of each hole before reinstalling the head. What a clusterf@$k can this be fixed or is the block junk? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

There is a whole section in the helms manual on this. Basically a thread insert like a helacoil or EZ-lock mentions a couple special tools j 42385-100 cylinder head/main bearing bolt kit j 42385-300 fixtures and hardware kit. Don't know if they are available through GM or what but something to check into. Maybe there is someone in your area that will let you look at their helms manuals
