Default Need help Motor problems

I was at the local drag strip last sunday. And, I made one pass no problem but didnt run a very good time. Then ran again like 30 min. later and It ran good. I launch at 4800 it hooked then started spinning. At the end of the run it died so I cranked it back up and died again. I cranked it back up and kept it running by keeping my foot on the gas. The motor was making a Knocking noise and had 10 psi of oil pressure. I turned if off after I noticed that the car was making a knocking noise. The car is a 1998 Z28 6sp. has a tsp cam, ls6 intake and a ls6 oil pump. I put the cam, oil pump and intake on December 25. Need Ideas what is wrong.

If it was knocking loud it was probably a spun bearing. Change the oil and see if any metal comes out the pan.

like strokedls1 said, change the oil and check for metal shavings. might have spun a bearing, or worse. at least it cranks tho, thats a good sign.

My guess is spun bearing. Low oil pressure and a rythemic knock that speeds up with rpm is not a good sign, how many miles on the engine?
