Default stock injectors with FM13

I've just about got all the extra things i need for my cam swap in the spring, but what about fuel injectors. Will the stock 26lb injectors be fine with a cam like FM13 with stock heads? If not, what size do i need, 28lb? Anyone maxing out their injectors with a cam in the 230 range?

You'll be perfectly fine with the stock injectors. I wouldn't upgrade until you get heads and/or poweradder. Cam only you'll be fine with 26'ers.

the injectors on my 2002 ls1 maxed out with the F13 cam. I get all the "your stock injectors are good to 450rwhp" BS. But guess what? they werent! In my case they were run to 111% Duty cycle just to get her tuned. Candy at FMS told me that they were begining to hear this more often. Good luck

I bought some 36# injectors from EAD for 170 or something like that. I'm going to install them today.

Racetronix is having a special on their Delphi 32# right now. They flow 36.5# at 58 PSI and would be a good choice with room for expansion.

What benefits would you have switching to bigger injectors? Would it just keep the engine from being choked up? Any power gains? I have an F11 in and was debating whether i need new ones or not? any help?

You don't need new injectors.

How can you say he doesnt need injectors? People were telling me the same thing, and that i would be good to 450rwhp, but they were wrong. Only way to find out is to get dyno tuned and find out what the duty cycle on yours are. Industry standard is to not run over 80%.

There has to be something up with either your fuel pump or your injectors. My stock 28# injectors handle my F13 with ported heads. Stock injectors with a cam only should be fine unless there is some other issue with the car.

If there is we havent found it. The PSI is fine, and it was tuned. I may have just gotten some shitty injectors from the factory, but if that iswhat happened to me it could happen to someone else also.

28.8 at 4 BAR.

400 rwhp NA does not require injector swap, over that a dyno tune will determine that. 80 to 85% cycle is good after that you're overloading the injectors and run risk of failure.

As for N2O if you shoot wet, then you'll need a fuel pump, dry and you'll need both pump and injectors.

Did you buy the car new or used? If new then you may have something up with the injectors, if used maybe someone swapped them out with 26#ers. I will be selling my injectors because I am going to a 408ci. PM me if you are interested. They have low miles on them.
