Default Need help with fuel rail

I just removed a NOS 5177 kit from my car and I replaced the shraeder valve and the cap and when I started my car the fuel blew the valve out and the cap off and now it is lost. I went to O'Reillys and got some more valves but they won't stay in there either. What do I need to do?

I have a dumb question for you.... Well maybe it's not a dumb question...

Did you screw the schraeder valve in, or just set it in there and screw the cap on?

You need a valve stem tool to screw the valve in firmly. Then put the cap on.

I screwed it in with the tool and the valve was in there tight. Could it be that the valve was not the right size?

It might have been the wrong size. I don't know if they are the same size and material as a tire valve stem or not... I'm thinking mine looked a little beefier, but I don't know if it was the threaded area, or the rest of it.

I found the stock valve and put it in and it stays fine but the cap is gone. Where can I find another one?

The stock valve doesn't blow out when I start the car but fuel spits everywhere. The valve shouldn't leak like that should it?
