Default AFR 225 mill?

Looking at the AFR 225s, it says you can get either a 76CC or a 66CC chamber heads......I would guess that means the 66CC is a 76CC that has been already milled (I would guess ~ 0.050") right? How much mill CAN the AFRs take? I'm trying to get down to a 50CC chamber.

As per Tony, .036 mill to get AFR 225's to 66cc (.006/cc).
BTW the 225's are 72cc and 62cc (NOY)

Yes...Just to confirm

225's ARE either 72 cc's or 62 cc's (not available currently)

.006 per cc is also correct to figure out where you need to be regarding the mill

Good luck geting down to 50 cc's but I am gonna guess you will mess with the flow design quite a bit if you mill that far.

Buy some dome piston's, or use a smaller head gasket but dont destroy a head.

so wait....they are going to make a 62cc head? so thats 62ccs with no mill? so then 0.050" would be ~ 50ccs......people take 0.050" off all the time....

I don't think the 62cc's are going to be milled down 72cc castings. The 62 cc's should be there own casting. 62 not milled any at all.

Milling much beyond 55 cc's on the small chamber 225's will get into the flowcurve pretty good....Your better solution as someone already suggested is to put a small pop up piston in it and run the 62 cc heads closer to their intended shape (the less mill the better).

You need to root around the search feature for awhile....there is VOLUMES of information regarding the new AFR 225's etc. with information such as this discussed.

Call me at AFR if you have any questions...
