Default Where to get air compressor fitting(spark plug) locally?

Anyone know of a place that sells the air compressor fitting for holding up the valves during a cam swap? (i.e. napa, checker, carquest)?

I saw one at autozone or sears hardware. Call and ask.

Don't laugh, but it's easier to stick a plastic straw down the spark plug hole of each cylinder and turn the crank over with a socket on the crank bolt till you reach TDC for that piston. I've been doing it for forty years.

If you go to sears and buy the compression reader guage it comes apart and you can use the fitting to pressurize your cylinders and check compression if you want.

TDC method is much safer and need no special tools.
I never felt comfy relying on air to do anything for me.

This works well. Used it during my cam install.

This isn't the best method, but why buy the part? During my cam instal I had an air compressor and fitting and for some reason the pressure wasn't enough and the valves still slipped a little. I ended up rotating the crank and put the piston at tdc and then conducted the spring swap. If the valve fell it fell a very short distance and cause me zero problems. i know this isn't the preferred method, but in the driveway, worked ok for me.
