Default question with oil

I have a 98 camaro with about 50,000 miles on it. One night while driving the oil pressure went down to 0 and check guage light came on. Pulled over and sat for a lil bit the nstarted it back up and had oil pressure around 30. Took it to the dealer and they said the oil pump sending unit and o-ring is all good. But they noticed 3 bolts by the camshaft next to the flywheel are falling off or already fallen off. After driving around for a while the other day the oil pressure is at 18-20 at hot idle and around 40-45 at WOTT. Now the manufacturer tells the dealer that 20-40 is normal operating oil pressure. Can anybody tell me why the oil pressure is so low or is this just normal?

Cam bolts by the flywheel? The last time I checked the cam retainer bolts and cam sprocket bolts were on the front of the engine above the crank. Which bolts are you talking about? Either way, there are definite issues with our oil pumps just failing out of nowhere. A little more info would help.

its definatley not the oil pump...they said if it was the oil pump it would just take a **** and there would be no oil pressure at all...it might be those bolts what you said above the crank
