A Factory Chevrolet Ls6 Z06 Camshaft
Would this be an ok upgrade if I am looking to get only around 400 horses with the headers and the LS9 intake. I dont want to get to much horsepower because I still want a good daily driver thanks for all the input.

218/204 DURATION AT .050
.550/.550 LIFT

You will achieve 400 fly wheel horsepower, but you wont put 400 to the ground... Not familiar with the LS9 intake...I suppose you mean LS6 intake...There are plenty of bigger cams with great drivability and will build some nice power...

Coming from someone who has run an 02 LS6 cam, I say get a 224, 225 or 226 grind on a 114LSA. After tuning will drive the same as the LS6 cam but make more power everywhere through the powerband.
LS6 cam w all bolt ons stock heads................
TR224 w same boltons and same stock heads..........

I just wanted to add I will not install this I have done everything else but there is a certain fear of messing something up internally. The external stuff I am cool with.

I was J/K about the 50 shot.
I dont doubt anyone's numbers I don't know.
That is real fast for that size cam, but hell using a 4600 stall could probally get him there.
He could also have done high compression pistons and is running 13:1 with race fuel for all I know.
Now I am wondering.
How in the hell is this possible.
In a 3800 lb car, with a cam that makes peak power around 6200? Gotta be something more then just you everyday AFR head 224 cam 90/90 setup to run these times with a car that heavy.
I am calling BS without acturally raising the flag.

I broke 400rw with an MTI T1(221/221 .558/.558 112) its a good cam for its size. I cant really tell you about the driveability because I have an aluminum flywheel and stage 4 clutch. Id imagine it would be a lot better with a stage 2 or 3 with a heavier flywheel.

that's a better cam than the LS6 imo. they both have the same characteristics but the GT2-3 makes more power. i'm running it and am making 370 rwhp with LT's, ORY, and lid. this is also untuned and w/o a pulley. i could be around the 400 rwhp make if i made the changes.
