I have Heads/cam Questons????
I have a 2002 Camaro Z28, it has LT headers, cold air induction and suspension parts. I am about to acquire a TSP cam the specs are 231/237 with a 598/595 lift and lobe seperation of 112 Degrees. Then i will also be getting a set of Patriot heads, these heads are the stage 2 5.3L heads. these heads have a 58cc combustion chamber and valve sizes of 2.02/1.57.
My question is "Will these combination do well with a stock bottom end. Will i be able to use nitrous with this set up. How much Hp do you think this set up give me.
Thanks
for any info

Yes, it shall do well with the stock bottom end (which is good for about 500rwhp on motor). The cam you chose will do very very well with nitrous.
I had that cam with Stage 1.5 TEA 5.3L heads and put down 425rwhp/390rwtq. I then swapped out the SLP LT's and LS6 intake for QTP HVMC LT's and a 90/90 intake and jumped to 458rwhp/403rwtq. The car's new owner got 460something/415ish out of it with some fine tuning.
The LT and intake swap helped pick up lots of low end power, which was greatly needed, as that cam is not known for its low end. It's a top end screamer. 4.10 gears are a must on an M6.
