Default 225 afr heads 76 cc on 3.905 bore.

will this be ok? the chamber on the head is bigger then the bore, will there be hot spot issues? just wondering before i have a potential problem. a guy from one of the sponcers says it wont be a problem, who also sold me the heads. build up: 347 forged, afr 225, 76cc. forced induction, upwords of 15#'s boost, pump gas.

the big valves do clear the bore.

thanx, eric

They are actually 72cc. Curious what head gasket you are going to use.

i was also told by the guy that they are 76cc after the cnc machining from afr, ofcourse im goin to now get them measured, or find out from afr to be sure.
im going to use cometic gaskets, 3.910 i think they are suppose to be, and .059" i think is the thickness

Chambers are 72 cc's (give or take a cc but they usually run small if anything) and the larger bore is NOT an issue as long as you use at least a 4.125 bore gasket....preferably a Cometic or similar.

Good luck and I hope this helps...

Like Tony said, use the 4.125 gasket, not the 3.910. You'll shroud the combustion chamber if you don't.
