Looking for best cam for street/strip (and yes, I read the Cam guide! )
Title says it all. 95% of the time the cars daily driven, 5% at the track. I'm looking for stock or slightly more aggressive idle (anything short of "rough") and a decent low/mid RPM horsepower gain. I rarely see RPM's above 4500 (except at the track).
Mods include Dynatech Supermaxx LT exhaust syste w/ cats, K&N FIPK Gen II, 160 degree T-stat ant 3" cat-back. Here were my potential selections. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
1. Thunder Racing 224/224 .563/.563 114LSA
2. Thunder Racing 220/220 .551/.551 114LSA
3. Lunati 221/221 .558/.558 114LSA
4. LS1 HOTCAM 218/227 .525/.525 112LSA
5. Thunder Racing 214/230 .601/.578 117LSA (CheaTR cam)
I'll be running the cam with STOCK HEADS for now. Later on I'll switch to AFR 205's. I'm also planning on using Comp Cams 918 double valve springs, titanium retainers, and hardened pushrods. a double roller Timing chain as well.
Appreciate any info Thanks in advance.

Best is so subjective, but I would go with the TR224 on a 114 LSA. A good proven cam that will give go numbers with a mild lope.
Of course with a comment like this.....
..why bother with a cam or any mods? j/k
