Default help...new guy to H/C...

hello, im really new to the heads/cams, aspect of our cars. i have a Vortech V9 aftercooled s/c on my car and im taking it off in a couple weeks and selling it. i want to keep my power up though i don't want to be back to basic stock again. i was thinking towards a h/c package to keep my motor happy and healthy after boosting her for 3 years...so the details, i have a 01 WS6 auto, with ST3500 converter also with FLP longtubes, y pipe and hi flow cats, with a hooker catback. i was thinking i want nice power but i don't want to sacrifice drivebility and i want it to be very reliable. what package should i look to? where do i go to find info about, searched alot but want to get some feedback from you guys who know the motors well. i would like around 380-400rwhp if possible. thanks alot, it's appreciated

What kind of budget are you on. You can make 380 to 400 hp with bolt on's and a cam only. H/C will get you in th 425 to 450 hp range.

Search. Read the stickies and JRP's signature's links.

My vote: TR224, ported heads if you want even more power.

You want nice power, minimal sacrificing of drivability and aren't too concerned with a budget....

AFR 205's and a cam along the lines of a TR224.
