LS6 will be the better of the two.

not enough information given to accurately answer your question. the 5.3L heads would be better in some cases than the LS6 heads and vise versa. need to know the application and the specs of the heads in question.

5.3 should provide better low-mid lift numbers until around .400 or so where the ls6 heads SHOULD blow them out of the water

If you are looking @ the same brand heads both Stg. 2.5 heads. I would have to say the LS6 heads are better. The 5.3's normally raise compression, but in my case with the GMPP 60 cc LS6 heads I have 11:3:1 compression.

Some companies use the same port so there could be no diffrence between the two. It just depends on who is doing them. In most cases the LS-6 will out perform the 5.3.

When comparing peak flow numbers, the LS6 heads on a stock bore are going to flow ever-so-slightly better. We're talking 4-5 cfm. As mentioned, the LS6 heads will have some better flow in the mid-to-upper lift range. Whether or not they're worth the extra money depends on what you're looking to do with the car, what size engine you're going to be running, camshaft, etc.
