Help with cam
I have a 02 trans am with a catback and cutout, and a lid. Everything else is stock. I am thinking about installing a cam. I would like to focus on mid rpms and then lower rpms. I am not looking for a sleeper cam. In fact I would like a cam that sounds beefy. What do you guys recommend?

Honestly, NOTHING...right now...I would first get LT's,ORY before anything else. That way you can help the cam breath...Is your car an auto/6-speed?? If it is an auto, then i would get a 3500 stall plus everything else! if it is a 6-speed, maybe a cluch depending on how much you want to go, but a 224 cam sounds about right..It has good mid/ and sounds good.----> www.ls1sounds.com

yeah futral is great. we need to know more info on the car and what other bolt ons you are willing to do, if you dont do exhaust but do intake (dont know why but...) if you did you would want more duration on the exhaust side to compensate for the restriction. let us know more about the rest of the set up and what you are worried about and we can help you out more

I am planning on doing full exhaust with cats during the winter...i know I am not going to get the power I want out of a cam withou full exhaust. The car will never see nitrous EVER!! Thats about it.
